2023 Year in Review

As 2023 ends, we are so grateful for you and your support of Gathering Point Giving Circle and the work we do with our partners in the community. We are about to enter our 5th year of service and we hope you know that your generosity and support has given us so much encouragement. With your support this year, we have been able to:

St. Vincent’s Villa

• Provide birthday gifts and school supplies to 80 children.

• Enhance and support a thriving children’s garden.

• Provide holiday celebrations complete with gifts, crafts, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and a Christmas parade.

Helping Up Mission

• Provide Birthday gifts for 100 women and staff.

• Provide Monthly enrichment and service projects for the women.

• Support for the Gift In Kind donation center and boutique and the needs of the women

• Support for Christmas decorating at the center.

• Host the Annual Recovery Dinner with an evening of fellowship, food and music for the women, children and staff.

Student Support Network

• Provide 500 Blessing food and household bags for families in need at Owings Mills High School through Student Support Network

As we look ahead to 2024, we hope that you will consider continuing your support of GPGC as we serve our partners. The census at Helping Up Mission Center for Women and Children continues to grow with more women bravely stepping into the addiction recovery program. Presently, there are 10 babies who are there with their moms and more arriving each day. Our goal is to be a bright light for the women and the moms with their precious babies proving they are valued, and that we believe in them by continuing to provide the support we do.

The needs of the students at Owings Mills High school and Student Support Network do not take a break and our goal is any child in need will be blessed with the essentials.

The children who reside at St. Vincent’s Villa and those who will arrive in 2024 need the love and grace that every child should receive, and we strive to continue to provide them with gifts, enriching activities and holiday joy that every child deserves.

You are a cherished part of our Circle. Your prayers, your encouragement, your time and treasure give us the support we need to continue to serve our partners, the women, children and families in need.

Your generosity has made this all possible and with 100% of all donations going directly to our mission, we invite you to continue your support with a year end contribution.

No gift is too big or too small and every dollar is stretched to meet the needs of the women, children and families we serve.

Serving others has its own humble reward and we always invite you to join us as we love to share our journey with you.

We would like to leave you with this…. This note came from one of the women at Helping Up Mission Center for Women and Children after the Recovery dinner….

“A few months ago, I was surrounded by death and destruction, and I know it is still out there crouching at the door. But to have a moment to celebrate those of us who are choosing life and light today was a very special blessing. Thank you for being of the few who are unbothered by the stigma of addiction and see us addicts as human…. With love, gratitude and blessings, L.”

There is no greater gift than serving others while sharing grace and kindness with them. Thank you for your faith in our mission.

With gratitude and appreciation,
