Who We Serve
Our 2024 Beneficiaries
Each year GPGC selects organizations that speak to our mission of supporting women and children in the greater Baltimore area. We also respond to a limited number of urgent needs throughout the year. 100% of your donations go directly to the beneficiaries.
St. Vincent’s Villa
We are proud of our long-standing relationship with SVV, residential care facility in Baltimore County that offers services to 85 children ages 5-14 in emotional crisis. We support the children through:
Birthday gifts
School supplies
Holiday celebrations
Special surprises to brighten their days (they love Snowballs!)
A garden they plant, tend, and harvest
A beautiful permanent covered pavilion for work and play
Umbrella-covered tables and chairs throughout the open spaces (New for 2024!)
Helping Up Mission for Women
GPGC is blessed to be involved in several projects at the Helping Up Mission Women and Children’s Center in Baltimore, which is a yearlong spiritual addiction recovery program. Our role is to:
Provide welcome and birthday gifts
Host monthly enrichment activities such as painting, crafts, and self-care
Help with holiday decorating
Support the Gift-in-Kind donation center which provides a shopping experience for the ladies
Host a formal dinner celebration for National Recovery Month in September
Celebrate the tremendous milestone of Graduation (New for 2024!)
Student Support Network
Our relationship with SSN thrives as we partner with their volunteers at Owings Mills High School. We are pleased to:
Provide 60 Blessing Bags each month to OMHS and 50 Blessing Bags to Woodlawn High School of the necessary household items such as cleaning products.
Provide two OMHS students with the experience of participating in the Maryland Leadership Workshop, a one- week residential program on the Eastern Shore. We are blessed to be able to cover the tuition and transportation, provide their necessities, and tuck in fun surprises to make that week extra special. (New for 2024!)
You can follow our work through:
“We are overwhelmed! The wonderful food and supplies that you donated to the Nest are perfect! Our families will be thrilled to receive these items and we are so very grateful. We know how much work goes into putting this kind of project together; planning, budgeting, shopping, coordinating, making bags, delivering, it's a lot. And you (and your circle) both do it with grace, humility, and care. It shows in each bag and birthday kit.
You are making a real difference in the well being of our families and we are so happy to know you. We are grateful to you all and for the partnership we have created. We look forward to working together for a long time.”
